Beach Street Leads The Way
With Queen Elizabeth narrowly missing out on purchasing a property in Beach Street, Askam,
it seemed that excitement would be calming down. However, The Askam Herald can now reveal that a resident of Beach Street has completed
a feasibility study into opening a new nightclub.
Although the person involved does not want to be identified due to the ongoing legal
requirements, we can say that they live next to the ground to be developed and in true Beach Street style, it is there that the club will be placed.
The club will not only provide entertainment for the whole village with it's 3am bar and very noisy clientele, but also offer dance classes
during the day. Styles of dance covered will be Ballet, Tap, Jive, Salsa and Clog. The Owner and Developer will be running the classes himself,
he told The Askam Herald, 'Although I will be offering classes to the community on a first come first served basis, there will be opportunities
later on for others to get involved.'

After canvassing opinion up and down Duke Street, The Askam Herald believes that the majority of people were in favour of the proposal; she said, 'As long as it caters for all the community, I think it will be a good thing having a new dance school.' The plans go before the Parish Council in July. So, as usual we will keep you up to speed with ongoing happenings.
